Kňaz a národovec František Tagáni pochádzal z Oslian, územia Banskobystrickej diecézy, stal sa však kňazom Nitrianskeho biskupstva. Bol veľmi rozhľadeným a zapáleným národovcom, jeho meno nachádzame takmer pri každej významnej udalosti súvisiacej s konštituovaním sa slovenského národa. V tomto roku si pripomíname 200. výročie jeho narodenia.
