Specialised Philatleic Exhibition of Olympic and Sport Philately with International Participation

jointly invite you to participate in the philatelic exhibition held in the Olympic year 2008
to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Slovak Olympic Committee.

Specialized international philatelic exhibitions of the Olympic and sports philately are held every
four years, always the year of the Olympic games, namely OLYMPFILA ’96, SLOVOLYMPFILA
2000, SLOVOLYMPFILA 2004, and now SLOVOLYMPFILA 2008. Every exhibition became
a traditional part of the particular Olympic year presenting excellent international philatelic
exhibits; it is attended by many Olympic and sport collectors. SLOVOLYMPFILA
2008 will present international Olympic and sports exhibits in the following classes:
- Standard exhibits: Olympic Games, Sports,
- One-frame exhibits: Olympic Games, Sports,
- Philatelic literature exhibits,
- Open class exhibits (with at least 51% philatelic materials in exhibit),
- Youth class exhibits (according to age categories).
There will be also a special exhibition class for exhibits dealing with pins, medals, coins, phonecards, autographs, and other
collectibles and memorabilia devoted to the Olympic Games and sports. For more information see

| Participating countries and exhibits |
|
| |
|
Organizing committee has accepted 127 exhibits from 12 countries. The basis represent V4 countries exhibits (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and
Slovakia). Another country with strong representation is Germany, whose exhibitors belong to the world class collectors. Traditionally exhibits from
countries which regularly participate on such exhibitions (Greece, Italy, Russia, Romania, Switzerland, Croatia) will be presented, firstly exhibits
from Cyprus Republic will participate. The overall volume of the exhibition would be about 480 exhibition frames. For more detailed information about

Final proposal of the propagation imprint of SLOVOLYMPFILA 2008 exhibition - the imprint will be used by Slovak Post on official
stationery cover (COB) to be issued on May 23rd, 2008. Main motive of the imprint is a new view on Bratislava through Apollo
Bridge.
